Key in the number (obtained from the service provider) and press (OK). Using the call register Within the Call register menu you can access the phone numbers registered automatically by the phone and view call duration and call costs. To access this menu: When the display is clear, press scroll to Call register, and press (Select). To use the options within Menus 3-1 to 3-3: The options that you can access by pressing you to: · edit, view or call a registered phone number · view the time of the call · save the number in Phone book · erase the number from the call list (not from Phone book) About missed and received calls The phone registers missed and received calls if: · the network allows showing the caller's phone number to the call recipient · the phone is switched on and within the network's service area (Options) allow 46 ã1999 Nokia Mobile Phones. All Rights Reserved. Using the call register Missed calls (Menu 3-1) This function shows you the last eight phone numbers from which somebody has tried to call with no success. Tip: You can also view these phone numbers by pressing (List) when there is a note about missed calls on the display. Also the previously registered phone numbers are shown. Received calls (Menu 3-2) This function shows the last eight phone numbers from which you have accepted a call. Dialled numbers (Menu 3-3) This function shows the last eight phone numbers that you have called or attempted to call. Erase recent call lists (Menu 3-4) This function allows you to erase all the phone numbers and names shown in Menus 3-1 to 3-3. These phone numbers are also erased when you: · switch on the phone with a SIM card which is not one of the five cards used most recently with the phone · change the Phone security setting (see page 54). ã1999 Nokia Mobile Phones. All Rights Reserved. 47 Show call duration (Menu 3-5) This function allows you to view the approximate duration of your outgoing and incoming calls. You can reset these so-called call timers by using the Clear timers function (Menu 3-5-5). Note: The actual time invoiced for calls by your service provider may vary, depending upon network features, rounding-off for billing, and so forth. Show call costs (Menu 3-6) This network service shows the approximate cost of your last call or all calls if this service is supported by the network. The costs are shown in terms of units specified within the Show costs in function (Menu 3-7-2). Note: The actual invoice for calls and services from your service provider may vary, depending upon network features, rounding-off for billing, taxes and so forth. Call cost settings (Menu 3-7) Call costs' limit You can limit the costs of calls to a certain amount of charging units or units of currency (network service). Using the call register Show costs in The phone can show the remaining amount of talk-time in terms of charging units or the desired currency. If you selected Currency, key in the charging unit price, press (OK), key in the currency name, and press (OK). Prepaid credit (Menu 3-8) Within this menu you can view and make settings related to prepaid SIM cards. When using a prepaid SIM card, you can make calls only when there are enough credit units on the SIM card. The Credit info display function allows you to set the amount of remaining credit units to be shown when the display is clear.
